My two handsome superheroes!

Hubby gets to hear me speak for the first time on this journey!

I am so late posting this! My apologies to the Williston Library and the Friends of the Library group that hosted me! Where has February gone? I spoke at the Williston Library February 24th. While we were small in numbers that night, we had an awesome time and fellowship! Lisa and Jim really went all out and made us feel so special and welcomed. The friends of the Library went to a lot of trouble preparing snacks and getting the word out, so I know they were disappointed in the small crowd. However, it was a wonderful night of sharing and full of Q&A. I love to share our experiences because it is my way of helping others. With over 200,000 diagnoses every year, we are all bound to be affected by autism directly or indirectly. Temple Grandin made such an impact on our parenting when she shared about her autism and it is my desire to do the same for others.

We are on a mission to share in libraries, conferences, churches, schools and just about anywhere. When I speak, I custom fit it to the crowd from all perspectives. In churches, I especially want to share because I want to teach them where they fit into the autism community and how they can and have impacted families like mine. For parents, I like teaching them how to become experts on their children in order to make the best decisions for their child and families. As far as the rest of the community and family members, it is important to educate yourselves so that you can love, encourage and recognize the signs of autism when out in the community so that you can be a part of keeping them safe, encouraged and uplifted. If you are interested in having me come speak, I would love to come share! Thank you to the Friends of Williston Library for hosting me! I hope that you learned a lot and were blessed in some small way!
