Blame Me

I realize that it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I think about things to post but I get busy and can’t seem to calm my mind to do so. There is so much going on in our life right now and we are working on many projects. The biggest thing that I keep wanting to let everyone know is about the decision we made about stopping Tommy from sending out any mail. I should have let you know sooner since this decision was made back in February. If any of you know Tommy, once you get on his birthday or anniversary radar you are on it for good. This means that you receive things in the mail, texts and probably even some phone calls for your birthday or anniversary. It bothers us that when he sends people his so called “birthday card” it is always about him and not necessarily the person once he gets past wishing you “Happy Birthday”. I kept telling myself I was going to work on that with him but never can get myself organized to do it. Trust me it’s a process! When I need to teach him something it takes some ingenuity to come up with a plan that will make him comprehend. Anyway, back in February I caught sight of his most recent birthday cards that he had been sending out and realized that it may have come across as him asking for money. $2,000 TO BE EXACT. That wasn’t what he was doing, what he was trying to convey to them was his business plan for our future projects that we are working on. The $2,000 was the cost of hiring a trademark attorney for the Tommy Man dreams that he has for his character. We have already done that. Only I would know that since I am the one who wrote up the business plan in a way that he would understand the process and the goals along with a timeline. Believe me that boy has so many dreams that he wants to see happen and his mom just can’t keep up!! My surgery has caused a delay and set back but we are getting back on track. It is just not quick enough for Tommy Man!!

All that being said, if you think that Tommy has forgotten your birthday or anniversary when he has always remembered in the past, it is not his fault! You can blame his parents for that one! We have stopped him until we can get this under control and on the right track. We hope and pray that he never offends anyone or sends the wrong message because it is not his intention at all! However, we should be able to let him resume within the next month. The surprise will actually be just one of many of his dreams starting to happen. Just so you know we are building a brand and I for one am having to fumble my way through it! You not what they say, “Fake it til you make it!” And that is exactly what I am doing!! Love you all!
